Are Red eyed gerbils are evil? Find out here!

exuberantspin

First things first, no, red eyed gerbils are not evil. Despite the myths, red eyed gerbils are actually just normal gerbils. They don't act any different than your black eyed/dark eyed gerbil! Because of their red tint in front of their eye, they do see a little worse than a dark eyed gerbil. This just means they might be a little more scared when you come to their tank. In different lighting, their eyes will look different, in some, you might see pure red. Whist in others they will just look black. I understand some might not wanna get a red eyed gerbil, and that's okay, but recognize that they are a normal gerbil with a different eye color.
